Yancey Ranspot founded the New Mexico Youth Conservation Foundation in 2013. Since then it has taken New Mexico kids skiing, fishing, hunting, backpacking, rafting, shooting bows, keeping bees, throwing pots and watching birds, with the instruction and the gear provided. Its archery gear alone has gone out on loan to more than 30 organizations.
He works for the USDA Forest Service in Albuquerque, in support services and conservation education, and studied at Northern New Mexico College.
The Forest Service introduced him in a short video of its own. Watch it on YouTube →
