Ourstory

Inclusive, instructed outdoor programs for New Mexico kids.

Every kid in New Mexico deserves a way into the outdoors, whatever their family can afford.

What we do

The New Mexico Youth Conservation Foundation has run outdoor programs for New Mexico kids since 2013: snow sports, fly fishing, archery, beekeeping, pottery and birding. The instruction and the gear are provided; a day costs five dollars a child.

We also lend gear and training to schools and nonprofits. Our archery equipment alone has gone out to more than 30 organizations.

Our motto

Three words that shape every program we run.

  1. Observe.

  2. Participate.

  3. Reflect.
